INDIANAPOLIS WINERIES

  • Ash & Elm Cider Co. was opened in the summer of 2016 by husband and wife team Aaron and Andréa Homoya. Cider became their passion after a trip to Ireland when they sampled some ciders that opened their eyes to the variety and sophistication of the beverage. After their return, Aaron - already an avid beer and wine maker - started crafting ciders as well, and it didn’t take long before it was his sole focus. They realized that Indianapolis didn’t have much of a cider scene, and thought that their approach to cider could interest people locally as well as help usher in a new generation of cidermakers and drinkers in the state.

  • Easley Winery began as the dream and vision of Jack & Joan Easley in the late 1960's. Making wines as a hobby in their basement in Indianapolis, Jack and Joan dreamed of growing grapes and making wine in Indiana. Jack was an attorney and Joan owned her own market research business. After learning it was illegal to make and sell wine in Indiana, they invested in a small vineyard in southern Michigan. The long drives on poor roads quickly became old, and Jack & Joan decided to see if the Indiana prohibition laws could be changed. Fortunately, there were other dreamers in Indiana such as Karl Banholzer, Mike & Liz Mancuso, Mary & William Oliver, Ben & Lee Sparks and Dr. Don McDaniel.

  • Indiana's only locally-owned California winery, we handcraft our wines in the heart of one of the world's best wine-growing regions, Napa Valley. Why California? First, it's groovy so we naturally dig it, and second, the wines from there are simply awesome!

From Sonoma's fog laden Russian River Valley, bayside in Carneros, or 2,000 feet above the valley at our Howell Mountain Vineyard...you get the picture.

We invite you to join us in our mission, and guarantee you will enjoy the wine while you do so!

 SOUTH INDY WINERIES

  • From 1991 until 2006, our Owner and Vintner Jeff Durm grew grapes, sold grapes, and made wine in his basement. In April of 2006 we opened our doors to the public and began to share his efforts with the world. We've won 148 Medals at the Indy International Wine Competition along with numerous other awards.

  • At Brandywine Creek Winery we have two separate vineyards that we planted and personally manage in Shelby County, Indiana. We started planting vines in 2014 with approximately an acre, on our home property in New Palestine that year. In the spring of 2015, we added an acre and a half to that vineyard, (now known as the north vineyard), and an acre on our property in Pleasant view, (now known as the south vineyard). Spring of 2016 came and we added on again. This time, about a half acre to the north vineyard. The fall of 2016 was our very first harvest. Small, but very exciting. The north vineyard was added on in the spring of 2017. Between our two vineyards, we have 5 acres of vines and several different varietals.

  • Cedar Creek Winery is the first winery in Morgan County. The Elsner family opened Cedar Creek Winery on October 1st, 2010. The winery is located 3 miles east of Martinsville, IN, just off state road 252. The Elsner family also opened the Nashville tasting room on September 1st, 2013.

  • Mallow Run is the product of years of hard work by John Richardson and his son, Bill, and Bill's wife, Laura. John grew up on the farm, moved away to teach school for 35 years, and then retired back on the farm with the intent of growing grapes to supply other Indiana wineries. Bill, who grew up dreaming of living on the farm, settled into the original Mallow/Richardson home after graduating from Purdue with a degree in Agriculture. Bill met Laura (Emerson) while playing in the Carmel Symphony and with a shared love for music, wine, and the farm, they married in 2005.

The first grapes were planted in 2000, with more to follow in subsequent years. The vineyards now cover 8 acres of the family's 600-acre farm. On the remainder, more than 50,000 bushels of corn and soybeans are still raised each year. With expanding vineyards taking root, an aging barn with great potential, and the desire to share our love of fine wines, the decision was quickly made to open our own winery right here on the farm.

 NORTH INDY WINERIES

  • Sugar Creek Vineyard and Winery, Inc. is a vertically integrated vineyard and wine tasting room now open at 1111 West Main St., Carmel, IN. We produce distinctive, artisan wines from our vineyard in Montgomery County, Indiana in addition to wines made from grapes sourced from California, New York, Oregon and South America.

  • Ron Hopwood, owner and Wine Maker for Hopwood Cellars Winery, has been producing awesome wines since 1994. A trade he works to perfect, and continues to bring only the finest, award winning wines to the customer. When Hopwood Cellars Winery opened its doors on June 5, 2012, in Zionsville Indiana, it was quickly noticed by the consumer that these wines were not average, but are superior wines. Ron, with his wife Janet and a full staff, search out the best grapes from vineyards in Indiana, Ohio and Michigan. When asked what sets his great wines apart from others, "I produce wines with a very strict regiment, with grapes sourced only from this region, local is very important". What started out as a hobby, has grown very quickly into a large business that has definitive plans for future growth. Cheers!

  • Started in 2010, Daniel's Vineyard has planted more than 14,000 vines on 80 acres offering 8 different varieties of grapes. Using the best practices known, we manage this vineyard with one objective - to produce the best possible wine from Indiana grapes. Our long, warm summers and bright sunshine allow us to ripen the broadest range of grapes.Â

We are located in central Indiana and just around the corner from the beautiful Geist Reservoir. It is an ideal location for people to come and enjoy our vineyard. Although we are young, we are committed to developing this vineyard into a first-class winery in the years to come.

  • At Urban Vines we let the wine do the talking. We source our grapes from farmers and vineyards we trust. When the grapes are ready we squeeze, ferment and age our wines until they’re ready for you. All you have to worry about is finding a wine opener!

BLOOMINGTON AREA WINERIES

  • The elegant tasting room and grounds of Oliver Winery are truly beautiful. With the nationally-recognized Creekbed Vineyard not far away supplying much of Oliver's wine, the setting for this stunning winery is incomparable. If you book an appointment, you can tour the Creekbed Vineyard, which is, in a word, gorgeous. Oliver's tasting room also hosts several festivals as well as private events.

  • Oddball Fermentables has been producing mead since 2015. We specialize in cyser, mead made with apple cider, and love to experiment with a wide range of ingredients and styles. Despite its millenia-old history, we see mead and craft wine as the new horizon for craft drinking.

  • Butler Winery has been producing wine in Indiana for over 35 years. We are proud to carry on the tradition of making quality Indiana wines from Indiana grown grapes. We feel wines should be a reflection of not just the winemaker; but also the climate, soils, and the people who grow the grapes.

With over 20 varieties we are sure to have something that you will absolutely love.
